Terms of Use

1. Who can use the app

• If you are under 18, you may use the app only with the permission of your parent or lawful guardian. By letting you use it, your parent or guardian accepts these terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use of the app and your safety while riding.
• Missions marked 18+ unlock only if you have added a date of birth showing you are 18 or older.
• You must be physically able to ride a bicycle safely, and you should check with a doctor if you are unsure.

2. Your account

• You sign in with Google or Apple. One account per person.
• Give true information, including your real date of birth if you add one. Do not pretend to be someone else.
• Your handle must not be offensive or impersonate anyone. We may change or remove a handle that breaks these terms.
• You are responsible for what happens on your account, so keep your phone and your sign-in secure.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete my account.

3. What the app is, and is not

The app is a game that rewards you for riding to real places and completing missions. It is not a navigation, safety, medical or emergency service. Maps, mission locations, distances, speed, climb and calorie figures are estimates and may be wrong. Missions point to places, not to a safe route; we do not check roads, traffic, weather, lighting or the condition of any place, and we do not tell you which way to ride. The emergency numbers shown in the app are for convenience only; in an emergency, call 112.

4. Riding safely is your responsibility

Every time you ride you agree to:

• wear a helmet;
• obey traffic rules, the Motor Vehicles Act and all local laws;
• not use your phone while cycling, and stop somewhere safe before you look at the app or take a photo;
• ride sober;
• check your cycle regularly for any issues;
• use lights and reflectors when riding at night or before sunrise;
• stay aware of your surroundings;
• give pedestrians and other road users enough space;
• ride in a line when you ride in a group, and avoid blocking the road;
• never enter private property, closed areas or anywhere you are not allowed to be, and follow the rules of any place you visit.

You decide whether, when, where and how to ride, and whether a mission is safe to attempt. If it is not, skip it.

5. Your risk, and the limits of our liability

Assumption of risk. Cycling and travelling to missions involve risks, including falls, collisions, traffic, road and weather conditions, mechanical failure, theft, and the actions of other people. These can lead to injury, illness, death, or loss of or damage to property. You take part voluntarily and you accept these risks. No feature of the app (a mission, a reward, a leaderboard or a notification) is a request or a reason to ride unsafely or to break the law.

No liability for riding. To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, we, and anyone working with us, are not liable for any injury, illness, death, loss or damage to you or to anyone else that arises from your riding, your travel to or from a mission, the places you visit, road or weather conditions, other road users, your equipment, or your failure to follow these terms or the law.

Other limits. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, XP, rewards or opportunities. The app is free, and our total liability to you for anything connected with it is limited to ₹1,000.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

Indemnity. You agree to compensate us for claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal costs) that third parties bring against us because of your riding, your breach of these terms, your content, or your breaking the law or someone else’s rights.

6. Places, venues and partner offers

• Mission places, shops, cafés and other venues are run by others, not by us. We are not responsible for them, their goods or services, their opening hours or their safety.
• A partner offer (such as a discount for completing a mission) is given by that partner, under its own conditions. We may end an offer at any time.
• Missions marked 18+ only ask you to visit a place and photograph it from outside. No mission asks you to buy or drink alcohol, and you must never ride after drinking.

7. Fair play

Do not:

• fake your location (GPS spoofing, mock locations, or similar tools), or record a ride in a car or on a motorbike;
• submit a photo you did not take there and then, including a photo of a screen or a print;
• use bots, scripts or more than one account, or share an account;
• copy, reverse-engineer, overload or interfere with the app or its servers.

We use automated checks and human review to spot cheating. We may refuse or reverse XP, missions, spots or leaderboard results, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

8. Your photos and content

You own the photos and text you submit. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process and display them to run the app: to verify missions and spots (including through the automated photo check described in our Privacy Policy), to show them back to you, to let our staff review them, and to use them in combined or anonymous form. We will not use your photos in our marketing without asking you first.

Open elevation data. As a condition of using the app, you agree that elevation readings from your rides may be made anonymous and published as open data under an open data licence, as described in section 6 of our Privacy Policy. Nothing published identifies you.

You must not post, upload or share anything that:

• belongs to someone else and you have no right to share;
• is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, or invades someone’s privacy, including their bodily privacy;
• insults or harasses anyone on the basis of gender, or is racially or ethnically objectionable;
• is harmful to children;
• infringes a patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary right;
• deceives or misleads about where it came from, or knowingly spreads false or misleading information;
• impersonates another person;
• threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, its friendly relations with other countries, or public order, or incites any offence;
• contains a virus or any code designed to disrupt or damage software or devices;
• breaks any law in force.

Please avoid photographing people who have not agreed to it. We may remove any content that breaks these terms and, where the law requires, report it to the authorities.

9. XP, levels, leaderboards and rewards

XP, levels, achievements, unlocks and leaderboard positions are part of the game. They have no cash value, cannot be sold or transferred, and we may change how they work. Any prize or reward, such as merchandise for monthly leaderboard winners, is at our discretion and may have its own conditions. We contact winners by email.

10. Changes to the app

We are always improving the app, so features, missions, areas and rewards may change, pause or end. The app is provided “as is” and “as available”: to the extent the law allows, we do not promise it will always be available, free of errors, or that GPS, photo checks or results will always be correct.

11. Suspension and closing accounts

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect riders or the app. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why. You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

12. Google Play and the App Store

These terms are between you and us, not Google or Apple. Google and Apple are not responsible for the app, its content, maintenance, support or any claim about it. If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you; if the app fails to meet a warranty that applies by law, you may notify Apple, and Apple’s only obligation is to refund any price you paid (the app is free). You must also follow the store’s own terms.

13. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms in a way that matters, we update the date and version at the top, and the app asks you to read and agree to the new version before you carry on.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Before going to court, please write to us so we can try to sort it out. Subject to that, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
